Athelas Institute, Inc.’s Individual Support Services Program is designed to provide a wide array of services to individuals with intellectual disabilities living at home with their families or in the community.
Supports can address many needs, which include, but are not limited to:
- Accessing Community Services
- Attendant Care
- Grocery Shopping
- Purchasing (e.g. Prosthetic Devices)
- Recreational and Social Activities
- Respite Services
- Self Care Skills
- Specific Skills Training
To be admitted into this program, the individual must have an intellectual disability, be functioning in the mild to profound range of mental retardation, be at least 16 years of age, be able to ambulate with or without adaptive devices, have his or her seizures under control, have potential to benefit from an individualized support program, and be free of maladaptive behaviors.
Athelas provides services without limit to race, color, national origin, sex, or handicapping condition.
