Behavior and Communication Resource Services (Autism Program)

The Behavior and Communication Resource Services (BCRS) Program at Athelas Institute, Inc., operating in Howard County, is specially designed to serve individuals with autism and its associated behavioral disorders.

The benefits of this program include exploring environmental adaptations to enhance community and vocational skills while challenging individuals to learn to better adapt to the unpredictable nature of community-based living and employment.

 To be admitted into this program, the individual must have an intellectual disability with the diagnosis of autism or its associated behavioral disorders, be at least 18 years of age have his or her seizures under control, and demonstrate desire to participate in services.
